Software Engineer - Photographer - Game Developer - UI/UX Designer
I am fascinated by digital design of all kinds. Always looking to learn and improve myself, I am
constantly working with new technologies to expand my skillset. Software engineering and UI/UX design
are my main areas of interest, but I often express creativity through photography, game development
and other personal work.
Having worked on such a varied assortment of projects, I decided to create a portfolio where I can
present my work and talk about the details and process of bringing them to life. Explore my collection
of design work, software projects, game prototypes, landscape photography and more.
A variety of Computing Science and Software Engineering related projects, largely completed during my time at university. The projects include pieces of software, algorithm implementations, physics simulations, Machine Learning models, and Big Data processing applications – all developed using a selection of languages and technologies.
Game prototypes from as far back as my high school days, all the way up to more recent projects. My love for creating narratives and art has led me to make small projects where achieving a specific atmosphere or aesthetic is the main goal. Other projects are more system/mechanic oriented where I develop my own take on a common mechanical concept.
An ever-growing collection of web development and UI/UX work I have completed in recent years. I was introduced to the area in my final years of high school and the start of university. After discovering how much I enjoyed working in the area, I decided to take every opportunity I could to develop my skills. Projects range from personal designs to commercial work.
For the past few years, my interest in photography, landscape photography in particular, has grown hugely. The bulk of this growth
however was during the 2020/2021 lockdown periods, which meant my options were limited. Once restrictions had eased, I began
travelling Scotland to photograph both the picturesque tourist spots and the lesser-known gems hidden throughout the country.
Throughout my work it will become evident that I am a fan of waterfalls – seeking them out by car, bike, and foot. I am an even
bigger fan of long exposure shots of these waterfalls, sometimes spending hours circling falls and not getting bored. The water is
unpredictable and is one of the best examples of entropy in nature; You will never be able to take the same shot twice.
Scotland has so much more to offer than just waterfalls - historic castles, stunning hills and glens, alluring coasts peppered with idyllic villages.
There is a lot to see and do for photographers and also those who love the outdoors.
