Glencoe

Glencoe is probably one of the best-known and most beautiful parts of Scotland. Waterfalls stream down the imposing mountains into lush valleys where you can find some unique cottages straight out of a postcard. An excellent place for hiking, there is a cluster of munros in Glencoe which include the iconic Buachaille Etive Mór. You may also recognise it from some well-known films such as Braveheart, Skyfall and Harry Potter which filmed in a number of places in the Scottish Highlands. I have only visited the area for a short time while passing through, but it's somewhere I plan to return for a longer period, to explore and fully immerse myself in the landscape. In the short time that I have spent there, I took some shots of the cottage at the base of Buachaille Etive Mór. It's hard to go wrong when photographing the cottage as there is a river and foliage for the foreground and a massive mountain ridge behind it. There are quite few waterfalls in the area and unfortunately, I only had time to stop at one or two but both were remarkable, especially since they were surrounded by such an impressive landscape.
